Anyone can join our planting days in Austria, free of charge and with no strings attached.
We plant in spring and autumn, three to four hours at a time. Come once or keep coming back.

How it works
How a planting day goes
From the date in the community to the last seedling.
The date
Dates are posted in the WhatsApp community. You say yes when it suits you.
2Arriving
You meet at the site, tools and seedlings are already there.
3Briefing
Someone from the team shows how a seedling goes into the ground.
4Seedlings
From local tree nurseries, spread across the site in bundles.
5Planting
At your own pace, for three to four hours.
6Afterwards
The site gets a pin on the map. Most people come back.

Planting season
In spring from March to May and in autumn from September to October. That's when seedlings take root best.

What people ask before their first time
If your question isn't here, ask it in the community. Someone from the team will answer.
What do I need to bring?+−
Sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. Tools, gloves and seedlings are on site, and a snack for in between doesn't hurt.
Do I need experience?+−
No. The briefing is part of every planting day, and everyone plants at their own pace. There are no difficulty levels.
When is planting season, spring or autumn?+−
Both. In spring we plant from March to May, in autumn from September to October. In summer and winter the site rests.
Can children come along?+−
Yes. The planting days are open to all ages. Children come with an adult and plant their own seedlings.
Where do the planting days take place?+−
In several Austrian provinces, most sites are in Tyrol and Salzburg. Location and meeting point are posted with each date in the community.
Does it cost anything?+−
No. Taking part is free. If you'd also like to donate a tree, you can do that on the Plant trees page.
